Payments on WhatsApp with HopySuite and Stripe
Native integration with Stripe transforms WhatsApp into a sales and collection channel.
by HopySuite

We are launching the native integration between HopySuite and Stripe: now property managers and hotels can request and collect payments directly from the WhatsApp conversation with the guest, in a few taps, without leaving the inbox.
What you can collect
- Pre-arrival security deposit, with release or retention at the end of the stay.
- City tax and tourist tax, calculated automatically.
- In-stay upsells: late check-out, transfers, experiences, parking, early check-in.
- Balances for direct bookings, received from the website or via a link shared on WhatsApp.
How it works
Connect your Stripe account to HopySuite with a single click via OAuth. From that moment on, you can create a payment link โ single or recurring โ directly from the guest's chat, or let customer journey automations send it at the right time (e.g., security deposit 7 days before check-in). The guest pays with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA bank transfer, or local methods, without creating an account.
Security and compliance
All payments pass through the Stripe infrastructure (PCI DSS Level 1) with PSD2/SCA authentication when required. HopySuite does not see or store card data: we only manage the payment status and log it in the conversation and โ when PMS integration is active โ in the booking.
Why collect via WhatsApp
- Average conversion rate of a payment link on WhatsApp: 3โ5x compared to email.
- Drastic reduction in disputes: the guest sees who you are, confirms, and pays in chat.
- More ancillary revenue: upsells sold via WhatsApp generate on average 12% extra revenue per stay.
- Frictionless security deposit management: no more scary pre-authorized cards being "held" from the guest.
How to activate
From the HopySuite panel, go to Integrations โ Stripe, authorize the account, and configure products, prices, and automatic rules (security deposit, city tax, upsells). Setup typically takes less than 20 minutes. Want to see it with your real-world flows? Book a free 30-minute demo.
